Plan across time zones and currencies in one place

WorldTimeFX combines a meeting planner and a currency converter for people who work with colleagues, clients or family in other countries. Add the cities you care about and the planner lines up each local hour side by side, shading night, working hours (09:00–18:00) and the edges of the day so you can spot a slot that suits everyone. The best overlap is highlighted automatically, and you can copy a shareable link or add the chosen time to Google Calendar.

Every time is calculated from the IANA time zone database built into your browser rather than fixed offsets. That keeps results correct when one country changes to daylight saving time and another does not, and for zones with half-hour offsets such as India. Dedicated pages cover popular pairs like New York to London or EST to IST, each showing the current difference and a quick conversion table.

The currency converter covers more than 160 world currencies. Rates are daily mid-market reference rates from the European Central Bank, published via Frankfurter, with ExchangeRate-API used for currencies the ECB does not cover. Rates are refreshed at most once an hour in your browser. They are indicative only: banks, cards and transfer services normally add a margin, so treat results as a guide rather than a quote. Both tools are free and need no account.

How it works

Compare local meeting times

Select the cities involved, choose a date and move the planner to the hour you want. Compare working-hour overlap, then share the chosen time or add it to your calendar.

Estimate a currency amount

Choose your source currency and target currencies, then enter an amount. Review the dated reference rate and compare your provider’s final quote, including any margin or fee.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert time between New York and London?

Select New York and London in the time zone converter, then choose the meeting date and hour. The planner shows both local times using IANA time zones. Check the date carefully around March, October and November, because the United States and United Kingdom change their clocks on different weekends.

How do I convert USD to INR?

Choose USD as the source currency and INR as a target, then enter the dollar amount. The currency converter multiplies that amount by its latest available daily reference rate. Use the result as an estimate, and compare your bank or transfer provider's fees before making a payment.

Are exchange rates live?

Rates load live in your browser, but they are daily reference rates rather than continuously streaming trading prices. Frankfurter supplies European Central Bank rates, with ExchangeRate-API covering additional currencies. The browser refreshes its cache at most once an hour, so a refresh does not necessarily mean a new market rate.

How does the planner handle daylight saving time?

The planner uses your browser's IANA time zone database rather than fixed offsets. It calculates each selected location's local time for the date you choose, including daylight saving changes and half-hour offsets. When arranging a recurring meeting, check future dates because countries may switch clocks on different days.

How do I find a meeting time that works for everyone?

Add the cities involved and compare the highlighted working hours in the meeting planner. The best overlap identifies hours when every selected city is within the planner's normal working window. If there is no overlap, agree an early or late slot and rotate the inconvenience between participants.

Will my bank use the same currency exchange rate?

Not necessarily. WorldTimeFX displays indicative mid-market reference rates, while banks, card providers and transfer services may add a currency margin or transaction fee. The final amount also depends on when the provider processes the exchange. Compare the quoted amount you will receive, not only the advertised rate.
