About WorldTimeFX

WorldTimeFX helps global teams find meeting times that fit everyone's working day, and quickly see what money is worth in any world currency. It has two tools: a meeting planner and a currency converter, plus pages for popular city, time zone and currency pairs.

Who runs it and why. WorldTimeFX is an independent project. It was built because working across the US, Europe, the Middle East and India meant constantly checking time differences, getting caught out by daylight saving changes and looking up exchange rates on cluttered, slow sites. The aim is one fast, clean place that answers both questions correctly.

Meeting planner. Add cities or time zones and compare each local hour side by side. Night, working hours (09:00–18:00) and the edges of the day are shaded, the best shared overlap is highlighted, and you can copy a link, save a view in your browser or add a slot to Google Calendar.

Time data. Times use the IANA time zone database built into your browser, so daylight saving changes and half-hour zones are exact. Results depend on your browser's copy of that database, so a very outdated browser may miss recent rule changes.

Currency data. Rates are daily mid-market reference rates from the European Central Bank (via Frankfurter), with ExchangeRate-API covering currencies the ECB doesn't publish. The ECB publishes once per working day; rates are cached in your browser for up to an hour, then refreshed. Pairs are calculated as cross rates through the euro. They are indicative only and are not the rates a bank, card issuer or transfer service will charge, so always confirm with your provider before paying.

Limitations. Free visitors can compare up to 4 cities and 3 target currencies at once. WorldTimeFX does not provide financial advice, execute payments or hold any money.

The tools run in your browser with no account needed.
